Selecting grapes from some of California's prime Pinot Noir vineyards, we've blended our Pinot Noir for structure and finesse.

Fermentation & Aging
Individual lots of fruit were harvested separately according to ripeness and balance of acidity. The grapes were de-stemmed and crushed very gently to ensure that whole berries remained for full fruit character. The wine was pumped-over twice daily and the temperature was controlled at 85 degrees F to extract ideal color and flavor. The fermenting wines were tasted daily and pressed off their skins once they achieved optimum tannins.

Vineyard Notes:Our Pinot Noir grapes come from vineyards in Monterey and California’s Northern Interior that produce rich cherry flavors and provide the smooth tannins that make this distinguished wine. The grapes benefited from a warm summer to produce this brilliant fruit filled vintage.
Vintage Notes:The 2006 growing season was one of extremes with many varied weather cycles lasting two to three days versus typical five to nine day cycles. While spring was unseasonably cool, July and August heated up resulting in fine growing conditions. Harvest was about two weeks later than usual with evenly ripened grapes showing full concentration.
